CONSIDER THIS:
BECOMING A SUPPORT GROUP LEADER
We have areas of the state that do not have any nearby support groups.
If you or someone you know is interested in helping to organize a support
group, call Donna at the I & R Center (contact information above) and she will get you on your way to facilitating a successful group! A support group leaders' educational conference is being planned for November so now would be the perfect opportunity for interested new leaders to get involved.
JOINING A NEW SUPPORT GROUP IN HAMDEN
An initial meeting will be held on Wed., March 12th from 1- 3 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 600 Shepard Ave., Hamden. For more information, contact Gladys at 203-288-0546 or gladkt@hotmail.com

Sponsored by VNA Community Healthcare’s Caregiver Support Network, call Jane Olson at (203) 458-4259 for further information and to register.

NOTES OF CONGRATULATION AND APPRECIATION
- Irene Weck recently "retired" from her role as a long-standing and dedicated support group leader in Ridgefield. Irene handed the baton to Carmelita "Carmi" Gregory who is excited to be part of our Parkinson community.
Thank you, ladies, for your devotion and enthusiasm!
- Our first self-help Parkinson group in Connecticut recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. The Greenwich support group has a rich history of outreach to those from Fairfield and Westchester counties through meetings, exercise classes, and social gatherings. Greenwich Hospital has graciously supported this endeavor by providing meeting space, a facilitator, and other services.
Thank you to all you have made this a successful and helping endeavor over the years!
