CONNECTICUT CHAPTER GIFTS

The Connecticut Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association continues to be the recipient of generous donations from the community. Many of these gifts are memorials made upon the death of a family member, friend, or colleague. The Chapter also receives funds to honor the celebration of significant events in the lives of loved ones. All contributions are used in Connecticut for supportive services and across the country for Parkinson research.
Listed below are those persons who were remembered or honored in 2006. We truly appreciate those who considered this designation. Special thanks to all of you for your thoughtfulness!
If you wish to make a tax-deductible donation to the American Parkinson Disease Association, please make checks payable to:

COMMUNITY HEALTH CHARITIES
The APDA/Connecticut Chapter is pleased to announce its continued affiliation as an associate member with Community Health Charities of New England.
The mission of Community Health Charities is to raise funds for and increase awareness of its member charities through workplace giving campaigns. These member charities, all of which are nationally recognized health agencies, offer vital resources and services including education, treatment, outreach, and research in communities throughout this state.
If your workplace participates in the CHC giving campaign, you can designate the APDA/Connecticut Chapter as recipient of your donation. Feel free to call Gladys at the Chapter (203-288-0546) if you have any questions regarding a CHC donation.

Connecticut "Road to the Cure" Membership Drive
The kick-off for the Connecticut Chapter's "Road to the Cure" took place in June. This innovative membership drive has been most successful. The drive offers incentives to inspire prospective new members to join CC / APDA as the Chapter moves forward with programs, research subsidies, care, and understanding.
By traveling Connecticut Roads to reach the Parkinson's cure, a member can travel:
- Route 8 for $25 / yr. (and receive a one year membership, a subscription to our newsletter, notification of upcoming events, and qualification for subsidized Lifeline or Repsite Care)
- Route 395 for $50 / yr. (and receive all of the above plus name published in the Chapter newsletter)
- Route 91 for $100 / yr. (and receive all of the above plus a FREE invitation to the April Parkinson's Awareness celebration)
- Route 1 for $150 / yr. (and receive all of the above plus a FREE invitation to the Annual Awards Dinner)
- Route 95 for $200 / yr. (and receive all of the above plus a FREE copy of the Chapter cookbook)
(Note that your membership expires one year from the date noted on the membership card in the lower left hand corner. Membership is renewable every year)
