The American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc.(APDA) is a national organization that seeks to "Ease the Burden and Find the Cure" for Parkinson's disease. Founded in 1961, APDA focuses its energies on research, patient and family services, and education.

The Connecticut Chapter of the APDA is a grassroots organization which provides:

  • Acceptance of donations from individuals and groups made in memory or honor of Parkinson’s patients
  • Coordination of volunteer efforts within the Parkinson community
  • The Chapter is affiliated with the national APDA office in Staten Island and many Information & Referral Centers across the country.
